Australia in a Rare Situation vs South Africa
CricDiary: Tomorrow night promises something Australia haven’t experienced in almost three years. They are about to play in a T20I series decider. South Africa faced a similar situation just weeks ago in Harare. Australia, however, last played such a decider back in September 2022. They almost nearly had another in England last year but the game was washed out and the series ended 1-1. Australia, since then, have wrapped up the series before the final game.
Australia may consider recalling Matthew Kuhnemann. He debuted in the second T20I against West Indies in Jamaica last month where Australia bowled 11 overs of spin to restrict the hosts. Kuhnemann, coming in as a substitute fielder, dropped Dewald Brevis at long-on on 56. Brevis went on to score a match-winning 125 not out.

That aside, Mitchell Owen is out with concussion, while Matt Short has been ruled out with a side strain. Aaron Hardie is all set for a return. Nathan Ellis and Josh Inglis are expected to be back after rest and illness respectively.
