India’s Jersey Sponsorship Rights Sold for ₹579 Crore

CricDiary: Apollo Tyres has secured the jersey sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team for a record ₹579 crore. The tyres major outbid Canva (₹544 crore) and JK Cements (₹477 crore). The landmark two-and-a-half-year deal covers 121 bilateral fixtures and 21 International Cricket Council (ICC) games.

The Gurgaon-headquartered company, with operations in over 100 countries, will pay nearly ₹4.77 crore per game. The rates vary between bilateral and ICC tournaments. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had set the base price at ₹3.5 crore for bilateral matches and ₹1.5 crore for ICC World Cup games.
