Asia Cup 2025 Start Times Altered
CricDiary: Eighteen out of the 19 matches in the Asia Cup 2025, including the final, will now begin at 6.30pm Gulf Standard Time (GST), half an hour later than initially scheduled. The adjustment was made because of the extreme heat in the Gulf region in September when the daytime temperature often exceeds 40 degrees and remains high until late evening.
To ensure better playing conditions, cricket boards requested a later start, and broadcasters approved the change. All day-night games, as a result, will now begin at 8:00pm Indian Standard Time (IST).

The only match not affected by the change is the sole day game of the tournament between United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman on 15 September at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The tournament will start on 9 September in Abu Dhabi. Afghanistan will take on Hong Kong in the opening game.
