BCCI, Dream11 Scrap ₹358 Crore Sponsorship Deal
CricDiary: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scrapped the ₹358 crore sponsorship deal with Dream11. The passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, rendered the agreement untenable. Dream11 is the world’s largest real-money gaming platform. Continuing the deal would have been unlawful under the new legislation.
BCCI, today, officially announced the termination of the partnership. “BCCI and Dream11 are ending their association following the enactment of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025. BCCI will ensure no future involvement with such organisations,” stated Board secretary Devajit Saikia.
Dream11 has not issued any comment on the development.

The decision to part ways was reportedly mutual. Both parties were compelled to act because the new law prohibits the promotion of fantasy gaming and places legal responsibility not only on companies but also on the platforms advertising them.
Dream Sports, Dream11’s parent company, had inked a three-year jersey sponsorship deal with BCCI in 2023. With the 2025 Asia Cup approaching, the Indian cricket team currently has no jersey sponsor, unless BCCI secures a new partner within the next two weeks.
The tournament begins in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 9 September.
